When a legacy PLC or drive fails, the authorised distributor’s answer is usually the same: “that platform is end-of-life — you’ll need to migrate.” A full migration can mean weeks of downtime, re-engineering and six figures of cost — all because one module died.
InstroDirect gives you the practical alternative. We independently source genuine obsolete and end-of-life automation hardware through global supply channels, so you can keep a proven machine running and migrate on your schedule, not the manufacturer’s.
No “lodge a quote and wait” — if it’s in our store, the price is on the page.
Every legacy part is inspected and verified before it ships — and we keep the evidence.
Every obsolete and end-of-life part we supply is covered for 3 months from delivery.
Fast dispatch from our Queensland base to plants nationwide.

Can’t Find Your Part Number?
Legacy platforms have thousands of SKUs — we can’t list them all. Send us the part number from the unit’s label or nameplate and we’ll confirm availability, condition and price, usually within 24–48 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these parts genuine?
Yes. We source genuine hardware from established international suppliers, and every legacy part is inspected and function-tested before dispatch. InstroDirect is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the manufacturers whose products we supply.
What’s the difference between “obsolete”, “end-of-life” and “discontinued”?
Practically, nothing — all mean the manufacturer no longer produces or officially supports the product. Authorised distributors typically can’t supply them; independent channels like ours can.
Should I repair, replace, or migrate?
If the platform still meets your needs, a like-for-like replacement is nearly always the fastest and cheapest fix. Migration makes sense when spares become scarce across the whole platform or you need capability the old system can’t offer. If a drive has failed, our VSD repair service may also be an option.
How fast can you supply an obsolete part?
Stocked items ship same or next business day. Sourced items typically land in 1–3 weeks depending on origin — we confirm lead time before you commit.
Do obsolete parts come with a warranty?
Yes — every obsolete and end-of-life part we supply carries a 3-month warranty from the date of delivery, in addition to your rights under our standard return and refund policy.
