PowerFlex 755 — the Rockwell catalogue explained
The PowerFlex 755 (20G-series) is part of Rockwell Automation’s PowerFlex AC drive family, with kW ratings spanning 0.75 to 250 kW. All drives in this series share common firmware, common Studio 5000 AOPs, and architecture-class design with modular communications card support.
Integration with Rockwell Logix controllers
Every PowerFlex 755 drive is recognised in Studio 5000 Logix Designer v24+ via the pre-bundled PowerFlex AOP. Drives appear in the I/O Configuration tree under EtherNet/IP, with commanded speed, actual speed, fault word, and I/O status mapped into controller tags without custom Modbus or CIP parsing. Standard Drive Object tags include all RunStop, Speed Reference, and Fault information.
Safety — Safe Torque Off
Safe Torque Off (STO) is standard on every PowerFlex 755 drive, certified to SIL-3 per IEC 61800-5-2 and PLe per ISO 13849. STO wires directly to a GuardLogix safety-output module (1756-OB16S, 1734-OB8S) — no intermediary safety relay required.
Configuration and commissioning
Configure via USB, EtherNet/IP, or the DPI HIM keypad. Drive parameters can be stored in the controller and downloaded on replacement — no manual re-keying.
Parallel import and Australian warranty
Genuine Rockwell PowerFlex 755 sourced through authorised international distributors with full Rockwell manufacturer warranty. Part numbers, firmware, and AOP compatibility are identical to the Rockwell AU channel.
