Long-Body Inline 2-Electrode Conductivity Sensor

The InstroDirect IDC-2W-SS-L Inline Long-Body Stainless 2-Electrode Conductivity Sensor is an extended-body two-electrode conductivity probe for deep-insertion installations in process tanks, wastewater return lines, and industrial cooling loops. The longer wetted body keeps the electrode clear of wall effects and sediment while the 1″ NPT thread provides a secure, vibration-tolerant mount.

Installation & Calibration Notes

Install through a pipe boss with the electrodes at least 50 mm clear of any wall. Mount at 15° downward incline in horizontal lines to prevent air pocket entrapment. Clean electrodes with dilute HCl every 3–6 months depending on scaling.

Can this be used in wastewater?

Yes — 316 stainless handles most WWTP chemistries. For high-biofilm sludge applications, consider the 4-electrode IDC-4E-SS which handles fouling better.

What insertion depth is provided?

Approximately 120 mm from the thread face to electrode tip. For custom lengths (150 mm, 200 mm, or 300 mm) contact us for a quote.

Is this suitable for steam boilers?

Below 100 °C and 10 bar, yes. For higher temperature or pressure service, specify the PEEK-body or sanitary variants.
